Our Story and Mission

StoryPlans.ai is part of LIRA Learning, a mission-driven educational organization founded over a year ago by a team of seasoned educators who share a passion for literacy and thoughtful education technology. Together, we have over 60 years of combined experience in education and literacy, which has informed the creation of our platform. We believe in a human-centered approach to education and strive to develop content that improves the human condition. Our aim is to provide educators, librarians, and parents with resources that engage students, promote critical thinking, and address socially relevant themes.

Our Research and Approach

Our content is built on LIRA Learning’s instructional framework, which has been developed and refined through years of classroom experience and scholarly research. StoryPlans.ai’s AI is trained on lesson plans and materials created by our team and other expert contributors to ensure quality, relevance, and accessibility. For those interested in a deeper dive, our founder co-authored an article with Dr. Margaret Policastro, Chair of the Education Department and founder of the Summer Literacy Program at Roosevelt University. This article, featured in the Winter 2024 edition of the Illinois Reading Council Journal, provides insights into our methodology and research foundations. LIRA Learning is a bootstrapped, single-owner LLC without a board of directors.
